Securing A Sign Permit

Your first step is to educate yourself on the local sign code for your community. The process is quite simple and easy if you take the following steps:

1. Step One: Find out who is in charge of issuing permits for your area.

2. Step Two: Complete a rough drawing of the property, mark where your exsisting signage is located and measure the size of any signs currently on the property.

3. Step Three: Meet with the local permit office and get a copy of the local sign code. Share your drawing and current on-site signage with them. They will then be able to share with you the size and type of signage you are able to consider installing. This is a important step as you start to design your sign on our software program.

4. Step Four: Once you have your initial model and design completed, it is then a good idea to take your sign design back to the permit office to share your proposed design. They will be able to reveiw your design to see if it is compliant with local code. Then re-check with the permit office to fully understand permit costs, time line for permitting and any meetings that may be required for you to attend.

5. Step Five: We then encourage you to forward your design to us, where we will provide a detailed drawing and a final price quote.

6. Step Six: Use our final drawing to help secure your final permit.
